Pursuing Virtue, Striving for Harmony | “Zhou Shanhe Scholarship of Tsinghua University School of Medicine” Donation Ceremony Held in Hong Kong

On May 1, 2023, the donation ceremony for the “Zhou Shanhe Scholarship of Tsinghua University School of Medicine” was held in Hong Kong. The scholarship, donated and established by Ms. Zhou Shanhe, aims to encourage outstanding doctoral students to take on challenging problems, persevere in the pursuit of excellence, and conduct original scientific research.

The scholarship is intended to support several full-time PhD students at the Tsinghua University School of Medicine who have passed their doctoral qualification examinations, providing continuous funding until graduation.

During the event, Mr. Yuan Wei, Secretary-General of the Tsinghua University Education Foundation, and Ms. Zhou Shanhe signed the donation agreement. The ceremony took place at the venue of the special exhibition “Self-Discipline and Social Commitment — People and Stories of Tsinghua University” at the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Museum in Hong Kong.

Attendees included Dr. Leong Che-hung, Chairman of the Hong Kong AIDS Foundation and President of the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society; Professor Qi Hai, Dean of the Tsinghua University School of Medicine; as well as local alumni, representatives from the Tsinghua University Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, and other related participants.

Tsinghua Friends – School of Medicine Reward Mingde Scholarship Donation Ceremony Held

The donation ceremony for the “Tsinghua Friends – School of Medicine Reward Mingde Scholarship” was held on the afternoon of October 17, 2023, in Room B215 of the Medical Science Building at Tsinghua University. Attendees included Professor Qi Hai, Dean of the School of Medicine; Professor Li Haitao, Vice Dean; several faculty representatives; Mr. Xiu Xianshuai, General Manager of Reward Life Science Co., Ltd.; Ms. Pan Yanan, General Manager of the Beijing Region; Mr. Sun Shaoqiang, Director of the Industry and Regional Marketing Department; and Mr. Chen Jie, Director of the Major Projects Department. The ceremony was chaired by Professor Qi Hai, Dean of the Tsinghua University School of Medicine.

School of Medicine Holds Insight Scholarship Award Ceremony and Charity Appreciation Dinner

On October 23, 2023, marking the 22nd anniversary of the founding of Tsinghua University School of Medicine, the 2023 Insight Scholarship Award Ceremony and Charity Appreciation Dinner were successfully held at the Fengyeyuan Hotel in Beijing. The ceremony was hosted by Professor Qi Hai, Dean of the School of Medicine, and attended by Professor Huang Tianyin, Associate Provost of Tsinghua University and Director of the School of Medicine; Ms. Zhou Shanhe, donor of the scholarship; special guest Dr. Leong Che-hung, recipient of the Hong Kong Gold Bauhinia Star and Grand Bauhinia Medal; Ms. Yuan Wei, Secretary-General of the Tsinghua University Education Foundation; award-winning students; faculty and staff of the School of Medicine; as well as representatives from partner enterprises. The event brought together over 80 participants.
