Teaching Platforms
Medical Science Practice Center
The Medical Science Practice Center was established in 2011. The center serves the long-term planning and design of basic medical education at the university, supporting the training concept of cultivating a new generation of physician-scientists through the 8-year medical doctorate program. It also supports the experimental teaching of mandatory basic medical courses each year in the Excellence in Physician-Scientist curriculum, as well as public elective courses in basic medical sciences for all students.
The establishment of the Medical Science Practice Center is a key initiative in the School of Medicine's implementation of teaching reforms. The center is oriented towards clinical and life science issues and has redesigned its experimental courses accordingly. It has created a comprehensive and complete system for basic medical experimental teaching, relying on three experimental platforms:
Morphological Experiment Platform (Medical Specimen Gallery, Histology, Embryology, and Development Laboratory, Pathology Laboratory)
Human Physiology and Function Experiment Platform (Medical Physiology and Pathophysiology Laboratory, Molecular Medicine Laboratory, Medical Genetics Laboratory)
Pathogen and Immunology Experiment Platform (Microbiology and Virology Laboratory, Human Parasitology Laboratory, Immunology Laboratory)
