Research Areas:
With a focus on drug research and development, Dr. Lan Xie has pioneered the integration of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with systems biology, multi-omics, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Together with the research team, she has established the Molecular Materia Medica database and developed an intelligent TCM formulation algorithm based on TCM-derived gene expression profiles and disease-related dysregulated pathways. The related achievements have received several prestigious accolades: the "High-Throughput screening service for TCM bioactive components via transcriptome sequencing" was awarded the Beijing New Technology and New Product (Service) Certification; the " Scientific interpretation of TCM efficacy by single-cell omics and targeted hook " was recognized as one of the Top 10 Academic Progress on TCM in 2022; and the "High-throughput screening and intelligent formulation technology for TCM based on molecular signaling pathways" received the supreme award at the finals of the 2022 National Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition organized by the Torch High-Tech Industry Development Center, Ministry of Science and Technology, China.
