Research Areas:
The Zeng lab's research focuses on exploring the brain-body interaction underlying energy balance and diseases to better understand fundamental biological processes and enhance therapeutic interventions. Currently, our primary direction is metabolic homeostasis and diseases, particularly the inter-organ neural and immune regulation of metabolism and neuroinflammation. An in-depth understanding of these processes may provide key insights into the therapeutics of metabolic and neuronal diseases, including obesity, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders.
