Research Areas:

Gene regulation and gene function research. We are engaged in the development and application of Drosophila genetic tools. We have developed genome editing technology, transcription activation system, transcription inhibition system, and a new generation of transgenic interference technology in Drosophila. We have used these technologies to deeply explore the epigenetic regulatory mechanisms of Drosophila development and stem cell homeostasis. This laboratory mainly uses molecular biotechnology, combined with cell biology, biochemistry, multi-omics, and other technologies, to study the important functions and various interaction events of related genes in the process of developmental metabolism, stem cell homeostasis maintenance, etc., explore the role of gene interaction events in various life events, and actively carry out the discovery and development of potential molecular targets based on gene function.
