Research Fields, Emphasis

Dr. Zhijie Chang's current research focuses on the mechanism of cell signal transduction and tumorigenesis, with particular attention to the role of key proteins in signal pathways such as STAT3, WNT, and NF-kB in regulating gene expression during tumorigenesis. Using molecular, cellular and animal models, he works to explore the function and mechanism of oncogene CREPT in various tumors, and develop new anti-tumor inhibitors and biomarkers for clinical diagnosis. He also works on the mechanisms of chronic inflammation on diseases and develops tools including mesenchymal stem cells and exosomes for the therapy of inflammation related diseases such as fibrosis and wound healing.
