2025-08-11

The "Tsinghua University-Boehringer Ingelheim Joint Research Center for Immuno-Infection" was established in July 2018. Its primary purpose is to address the critical areas of infection and immunotherapy. The research focuses on using the latest immunological techniques to enhance the body's resistance to infectious diseases, aiming for broad-spectrum anti-infection through the modulation of the host's immune system. This center will further advance the School of Medicine at Tsinghua University in the fields of immunology and infectious diseases, providing world-class industrial resources for research and talent development in these areas.

Since its establishment, the School of Medicine at Tsinghua University has maintained a stable and efficient development in research achievements and talent cultivation. To further improve the quantity and quality of research成果 (outcomes) transformation and to explore methods and pathways for scientific and technological innovation, the School, as the main body of scientific innovation, seeks to better integrate resources through collaborations with enterprises. This approach will be more effective in transforming research成果 (outcomes) into products that benefit societal development and people's lives, based on market conditions. At the same time, collaboration with enterprises also provides more clinical trial opportunities for the school's research and allows clinical issues to be fed back to the laboratory for analysis and resolution. This fundamentally enhances the school's research capabilities and the core competitiveness of enterprises.
